Bicycle Mocap

BMX Behind The Scenes

A great collaboration with the BMX TRICKSTARS on capturing new data for iClone and ActorCore.

Props

Prop Reel

The right props make all the difference. Shooting something as simple as opening a door is SO much better when an actor can interact with it physically. We have commissioned custom stairs and ramps, purchased a small arsenal of toy weapons, and found many creative uses for apple boxes and scaffolding.

Past Social Media Posts

Mocap Puppetry

We created a live interactive mocap puppet in Unreal using our custom Shogun template for a non-human character.  This video is a fast turnaround proof of concept, but it explains the process we used.

Run For Your Life Stunt Reel

Working with Joop Katana from The Stunt Collective, we designed all the action for our pack. We shot these scenes at The University of Central Florida.

Project: Run For Your Life!

Run For Your Life is also an offering on Actor Core.  It features footage of people fleeing unspecified danger in a big city.

Project: BANK HEIST

Bank Heist is set of motions available for purchase from Actor Core a site that offers low cost mocap and characters for media producers.

Live Mocap Demo in Unreal

For our first demo, we set out to do a two minute-scene shot as one continuous take.  We had three actors on our mocap stage and a custom virtual camera of our own design. After the shoot, we did some basic facial animation and lighting tweaks, but as you will see on the special behind the scenes video, it was 90% finished when we said "cut".

Behind the Scenes of the Live Mocap Demo

In addition to working out our Vicon to Unreal pipeline, we incorporated a major location change, animated props like robots and spaceships, and prop manipulation that required advanced rigging to allow characters to pass "the box" from ship to courier to drone. Special thanks to our actors: Emilie Scheetz, Kat Williams, Kuraun Pitter and Tre Mosley

Santa Fe College "Phantom Car" Shoot

The team from Santa Fe College shot their capstone project Phantom Car.

DAVE School Shoot

The Digital Animation & Visual Effects School (at Universal Studios) partnered with us to shoot two of it's films, Ascend and Yellow.
